Reflex Bar and Disco

A scaled down version of the popular bar and club combination which seems to sell so well all over England. This one however has its own barmitzvah DJ (one that barks over every tune talking some rubbish no-one can understand or cares to hear), the bar however has a very good selection of drinks and as the night wears on it begins to get more crowded. The venue is long and thin and with limited seating and a dance-floor parked at the far end the traffic of humans is endless, the biggest obstacle is a number of girls so wide that their gravity seems to upset the dancing for many others. The place is really quite cheap and sleazy, the DJ appears to be ruining everything until I am told that Tony the owner has “ruled out” Jager-Bombs (the popular shot of Jagermeister with Red Bull which makes every night see to go by a little cheerier) instead i get handed a premixed Jagerbomb and things feel like 1982 when people like Tony ruled the world. The Berlin wall fell for a reason and times need to change.
Overall I think that Tony needs to buck his ideas up a bit and run this place with a little more class and attention to punters which might bring in a sea of girls that wont be such a danger to the tidal system in this part of the world, and might find a DJ that wasn’t raised by compulsive interrupters with a CD collection smaller than the amount of hair left on Ken Livingstone’s head - 3/10
