The Original Oak Pub

By all accounts the Original Oak pub in Leeds is one of those student gems that is a massive venue for congregation, partying and pulling in all weathers. Surprising it is then that from the outside it doesn’t look as big as it is within. Inside there is a forebar then a corridor leading up to a bar on the first floor which is rounded and around the bend the room opens up into a mass of sports screens and couches while to the left there is the entrance to the pub garden - a very large concrete platform which sits a level above the street outside, separated by a high fence but packed with benches and hundreds of drunken students. Of a summer this is one of the venues to be in as a student, its is very cheap and appeals to the young and unruined livers of today’s Leeds freshers.

Overall the venue is recommended for the sports fan (apparently the Liverpool football fan would be very at home here) with a large garden, absolutely packed with studnets on a Saturday and a brilliant atmosphere, even if the bars all get overcrowded at times - 7/10
