The Hyde Park Bar

When a bar a long way a way from London takes a name as well known as Hyde park it is difficult not to be curious as to what it might be like. Well on the positive side it is popular with an indie rock persona. The interior is modern, the crowd is vibrant and yet the furniture is comfortable with laid back seating. The place has a gastro feel despite the hordes of students packed inside -wallpaper combined with the bar staff pushing coffees as much as hard drinks. There is also drinking out front. On the not so positive it takes a while to get served at the bar even though it is a very large rounded corner bar. The wine is cheap and it really can get proper rammed at the weekends.

Overall hyde park seems to be the den for rich guys and up market popular trendy students who like to think they can afford a  stylish lifestyle but just end up hitting an overcrowded bar like any other with a totally  untailored appeal 5/10

It’s called the Hyde Park after the nearby park, which is … Hyde Park! It’s not named after Hyde Park in London.

Well done on a great site. I love reading the pub reviews, and am always on the lookout for good night spots.
