The Box Bar

Well i have to say that with a name like this, box bar doesn’t conjor up images of grandure.in fact as expected the box is a loud boyish sports bar. With screens, bright lights, students and seating out front. The box bar seems to attract some rather fit bar people yet the punters are mainly lads and people in sports kits. The bar feels like it has been done up somewhat but despite the soft wooden paneling on the walls and the almost japanese-esque seating the venue remains a sports bar. Having said this there is a good selection of alcohol and the box as it is known in town is pretty popular for serving large cocktails in fish bowls. The popularity for non sports lovers is here because its cheap and the service is quite fast.

It also helps that this is a stop on leeds infamous pub crawl - the otley run so a plus for heavy drinking, cocktail loving football enthusiasts - 6/10
