McCauley’s

I would say this is one of those bars you walk past thinking its a pub and never go inside. Uniquely it is one of the latest opening bars- especially for during the week, and they serve a vast number of cheap cocktails with 2 for 1 special offers. There is some seating with leather couches at the back and space for dancing to popular tunes. the place never seems to get too crowded and you get a sense that although it is a bar everyone knows each other inside. It really is the best bar for the local warrington population and you get the impression they all know each other. Friendly bar staff too. Occasionally you can spot one or two of the cast of Holloyoaks inside.

Overall 8/10

Please see above a very accurate map of this pub location. Do not trust other sites that put pubs in the wrong place, I have actually visited this pub and unless it has grown legs it sits exaclty where shown on the map above.

Ended up there when I was down staying at the Village Warrington hotel due to work commitments. It was actually really good from what I can remember.

I’m not so sure I like the fact that everyone knows each other. Is it the type of place you walk in and everyone turns to inspect you because you’re not a regular?
