Tibits Restaurant and Bar (Heddon Street - London)

Tibits Restaurant and Bar

Heddon street is so pedestrianised, so up and coming, happening and central that when i discovered that there was no coffee shop on it, i was rather surprised and poking my head around a few doors i managed to get a beverage of desire in Tibits, a modern, well presented restaurant and bar combination for all. The front of the venue is thriving with plant life and picnic bench seating and behind curtains inside is a bazaar of psychedelic walls, basket like chairs and sophisticated drinkers. The masterpiece of this floor is well presented buffet where eaters weigh their food after serving to themselves before eating. The weighing and payment takes place behind a long bar riddled with wine bottles, beer pumps and blackboards displaying the cocktail menu.the staff are attentive and polite but have a strong aspect of class about them that does make this place feel rather special. Downstairs the venue opens right up to make way for drinkers, diners and from the looks of things, families as well. The astounding thing is that after eating in here and cleaning the plate did it dawn upon me that it was a vegetarian restaurant.

Overall a very surprising and delightfully capable lunch location, also well suited to suited drinks, coffee meetings and summer cocktails, if they had Wifi half my office would likely work in here all day too - 7/10
