The Golden Dragon (China Town - London)

The Golden Dragon

Utterly distraught that my favourite Chinatown restaurant has closed down I scour the Chinatown strip of Soho for a restaurant with good food and a dim sum menu. Sure enough golden dragon proves to not be just enough cheap Chinese restaurant but a well decorated , large , friendly place to grab some food. The menu is vast, the inhabitants mostly Chinese (always a good sign my dad says) and the service, although pretty unrushed is cheerful. The plates of noodles in this place were meal sized so I can definitely tell you that I ate and spent far more in here than I had to and it was still good value for money.

Overall I was very impressed with the golden dragon. Too many of Chinatowns restaurants seem to pillage tourists and customers by having a show room downstairs but a slum upstairs. This restaurant doesn’t do that, it is a little more expensive but it is completely worth every penny - 7/10
