Planet Hollywood Restaurant (Leicester Square - London)

Planet Hollywood Restaurant

For as long as I have been working in London I know better than to hit tourist traps like Planet Hollywood in Leicester Square, yet I cant quite recall what was so bad about the experience I had as a teenager here one Birthday that puts me off going now. The venue has not changed a bit in years, its basically a museum coupled with a restaurant with some American vibrancy, a diner like feel and lots of neon signs. You make your way up the snaking staircase to the main restaurant passing figures of actors long passed with memorabilia everywhere (I was surprised to find I wasn’t actually eating any). The venue now has sections which can be hired fopr larger events but really its a load of flashing lights, overpriced food and if nothing else - particularly convenient (except when you find yourself in a two hour queue to use the toilets).

Overall, it might not be for me to judge this venue since it has beren such a long time since my last visit but I would be only too happy to rereview if the management were to invite me back - 5/10
