Imli Indian Tapas

Walk past this little number in Soho and you might do a double take as the sudden realisation that two very curiously distinct cuisines clash in one of London’s trendiest spots and this is what prompted me to go inside and partake of the lunch set menu. Within one can find a mix of people in crowds no larger than 4 dining quietly in a fresh and bright atmosphere where the traditional Indian images are done away with. Foods come out which burst with colour and flavour and in tiny packages amaze to eater. The place is a little pricey seeing as you may find yourself leaving with a stomach only half full but the array of treats is very adventurous and on the whole the food really works. The staff do not rush you at all which is good but the venue does feel a little cramped despite the vibrancy.
Overall Imli is a wonderful experience but for me, a one off to try as with its culerary delights - a few tastes on the tongue and your gone but remembering how even the mango chutney was blindingly colourful - 6/10
