Cattle Grid Steak House (Soho - London)

Cattle Grid Steak House

There is something about having a fibreglass life size cow outside your premises that attracts middle aged men and hungry carnivores. The cattle grid, a rather poky restaurant with wooden interior and a tiny kitchen, sees its diners getting rather intimate with each others meals as lunch eaters are packed in. The menu is not hugely extensive but with lots of mouth watering meaty treats it is a problem to pick a dish. Once the order is selected one has to approach the kitchen to order.waiting staff are therefore a minimum which means waiting a long time when problems crop up. There is also the element of expense, steak doesn’t come cheap and gourmet burgers are packed with every ounce of well paid for cow.

Overall the cattle grid promises a very good meal for its diners but the place is way too small, the atomsphere cluttered and the food a little on the pricey side but it certainly got me my beef fix for about a month and cleaned my wallet out too - 6/10
