Jumbo Eats Sandwich and Wrap Bar (Soho - London)

Jumbo Eats Sandwich and Wrap Bar

Jumbo Eats is a sandwich bar that claims to be the source of the lunchtime tortilla wrap and although such a claim is widely made, even in Soho, this tiny eatery gets very crowded. Uniquely Jumbo Eats has the full menu painted on the glass out the front of the shop so that pedestrians can have watering mouths on the pavement. The queue at lunchtime has been known to stretch a good twenty meters out of the shop and down the street with the most popular wrap being the falafel. Once you reach the counter a second copy of the menu is visible on a black chalk board behind the preparation staff. The staff are very fast and wrap meets grill for that hot touch in a few seconds. Inside there is also a handful of small tables which are almost always full of diners and at under five pounds per wrap this place is definitely value for money.

Overall Jumbo eats is a gem of Soho, whether they were the first or last to produce such fine lunches is irrelevant, the food is wicked and the service is friendly as well as fast.one of the best sandwich bars I’ve ever been to and the menu on the shop window is a stroke of genious - 8/10
