La Porchetta Restaurant

La Porchetta in Muswell Hill is an institution in its own right. The pizza kitchen is a stage behind the large glass shop windows, the street outside; the audience. Pizza chefs spin dough around their heads and put on quite the performance for onlookers at the queue begins to grow beside the kitchen, out the front door and down the road. The menu is quite extensive with pasta’s, risotto and of course the north London favourite - the La Porcetta signature Pizza’s. I’m reading this back and i realise that this sounds something like an advertisement but I have to say that this is my favourite pizza restaurant and has been for much of my late childhood. The thin pizza bases bought out by fast and courteous staff all chime together when it is broadly annouced across the restaurant that it is a young boys birthday in the far corner. The music gets turned up full volume for happy birthday with loud bells and all is a fluster.

Overall the furnishings are not the most comofrtable in La Porcetta because they do like to get people in and out but if you want one of the nicest pizzas in north London and you want it quickly then i suggest to head here with friends, although cheesy in its Italian way it is 100% authentic and I can see a wide chain of these opening up, up and down the country - 8/10
