Divan Kebab House (Finchley Central - London)

Divan Kebab House

In the middle of a very wet and windy Saturday evening (more like 3am) we approach an inconspicuous kebab shop on the corner of a suburban street at the end of Finchley Central high street. Both a take away shop and a restaurant it is surprisingly inviting although anywhere warm and dry would look welcoming at this moment.  For 3am it  is quite a busy place so we are led to a table by a rather grumpy looking waitress, given menus and left to our own devises.  The menu is extensive but the first thing we want is more wine having been out in town for nine hours! Unexpectedly we are granted our wish and proceed to look at our full wine glasses not managing to stomach a drop. the restaurant is furnished nicely which very bright clean decor. There is no division between the take away part and the seating area however we hardly notice as we chow down to some delicious Turkish cuisine although I was  accused of being an intimate part of the male anatomy for ordering what I fancied by previously mentioned grumpy waitress.

If you are in need of some decent food after a big night 0ut or finish work at an ungodly hour, this is the place to go. Open until 4am everyday it is worth a visit if not just to be insulted by the waiting staff! 7/10
