ChixChox Restaurant

A total family respected dining experience which has survived long enough for my parents to smile about it when the name is raised. Chixchox looks like any other shop front in finchley and within it has part of the kitchen as a sort of deli counter just by the door. You enter and step up into the restaurant along a tiled floor and heady down an aisle, pass booths. I watch as feral children of large families clamber over chairs, whining when food comes late and being distracted by the names of pastas on the Walls. Being seated we find it difficult to choose from a menu of favourites but my brother selects his favourite; escalope Milanese and we all follow suit by ordering the same thing.

Overall the food is fast, reliably tasty and reassuringly priced to suit a larger family but apart from being just another Italian restaurant I can see no unique blend of eat I would class to be a great restaurant. Friendly faces smile at us as we leave, I think I’ll come back again. 6/10
