Totally Thai Restaurant

May 2009 : Totally Thai has now closed down
The décor in totally Thai is quite unmatched by anything in the area, delicate trimmings appear all over this small but tightly fitted restaurant. The venue has a very soft and delicate feel to it, slow piano music and the light whisper of the waitresses voice contrasting with elephants on the heavy cover of the menu, the elephants on the cutlery and Walls. The food is excellent, there are even crackers on the table in wait for us when we arrive. Down-sides might perhaps be the weakness of the Jungle Curry but then the pallet of North Londoners is often well reflected by their inability to handle spice. And it is also worth noting that the restaurant can feel quite private, despite the array of tables - it doesn’t ever seem to get too busy so a romantic meal is a possibility for couples.
Overall Totally Thai is a little out of the way right at the top of barney hill but it is delicate and charming and a good meal for all concerned. Perhaps the jungle curry could have had more kick 7/10
