Pizza Express
Large, cleanly and purpose built purely for its Hadley Wood clientele, this branch of Pizza Express at the very top of the hill in High Barnet is a little bit of a stretch away from the tube station. At a good ten minute walk it seems a little far to go for a good pizza but the very bright and not over-crowded restaurant is very well established and has been sitting on this spot for a great many years. The venue is popular for dinner and lunch dining with small crowds of teenagers, old friends and families. The staff are attentive but a little on the slow side and food can sometimes be delayed in its delivery. It is however, much bigger than you would expect a restaurant to be, this far out of the way from all of the High Barnet action and as yet (except perhaps on a Saturday night) it doesn’t fill to capacity.
Overall its difficult to plant merits on this restaurant which aren’t obvious of all venues in this chain, the food its good, the place is tidy and caters well for families and perhaps a notch up from other Pizza Expresses is the upbringing and demeanor its its customer, so a nicely rounded 7/10
