George’s Cafe

This old cafe has been sitting on this spot for a good numbers of years and remains infamous with barnet’s casual tea drinkers. Inside one wanders past the counter I to the stomach of the cafe, a long thin affair which stretches right back with a peculiar assortment of chairs and tables none of which are terribley comfortable or easy on the eye. The venue is run by George : an older fellow who remains cheery and hospitable alongside family members who are his waiting staff. Food is cheap with reasonable portions but the venue doesn’t seem to have extensive opening hours.
Overall a staple of the barnet community and not one to be missed by barnet’s hard hat wearers for a hearty cuppa 6/10
