6Curry Cottage

Curry Cottage is the closed Indian Restaurant to High Barnet tube station and sits on the incline which leans into High Barnet town centre. Curry Cottage is a slightly larger restaurant than its competitors in the area and its interior is made up with old style Indian decor playing jazzed up sitar tunes and Indian dance music yet it never appears to be packed with people. The staff are quite friendly, the food is very very well presented but doesn’t always meet the mark on taste (although the food has noticeably improved since the beginning of 2008). The main reason to go to Curry Cottage is for its banquet deal on a Wednesday and Sunday where you get a starter, main, rice, naan, side order and coffee for around ten pounds, which works out at excellent value.
Overall a convieniant location with an all-round service but nothing to enter the restaurant record books with - 6/10

i have been a customer at curry cottage for 2 years., i had several takeaways and have dined in several times.the restaurant has been fully refurbished, nicely tiled, with black and red leather chairs.since it has been taken over by new management, just over a year ago. The menu has changed, the food is outstanding, and some of the dishes cannnt be found elsewhere. The service is impeccable. Highly recommended. 10/10

i am a new customer at curry cottage recommended by a friend of mine who is a regular.this is only my third time dinning in and i have to say that its the best Indian i have ever been in to since i have started Indian food over 8 years.food wise its certainly the best curry i have had in a long time.i had a dish called the LAMB ARCHAR and i have to admit my mouth was dribbling every time i took a mouth full the dish is out of this world and i would recommend it to anyone.the restaurant it self is beautiful and so big well how can i explain it seats around 70 people, certainly the biggest in Barnett.the service is very friendly and fast.well i am surprised that the manager is only been here just over a year and wow what a transformation in 1 year from what i heard certainly from my view best in Barnett.100%

I’ve visited the curry cottage in Barnet a few times and I have to agree with Lisa above, I loved the lamb archar, this has to be my best dish. All the food in there is amazing and I can’t wait to go back for another meal. I very much recommend the curry cottage to everyone.
