Blue Ginger is probably the closest curry restaurant to New Barnet overground station, it is quite a small restaurant, you can quite clearly peer into its windows and see it for its full length - tables of various sizes running along either of the side walls and dropping right to the back of the room. a small bar sits to the left hand side where transactions occur and on a Sunday a buffet is often set up along the right hand side. The food is not incredible but it is appetising and does fill a hole but is definitely not an up market curry house and could do better to liven up some of the dishes.

Overall not a gem in the Barnet restaurant scene but a pawn among over grander pieces on the restaurant chess board - if you pass by and hungry for a curry it will satisfy but not amaze - 5/10

    i like the place. lovely staff, quick delivery if takeaway. sunday buffet reasonable price - good enough choice. very nice just to pop down to and start eating straight away. in fact just ordered saturday night takeaway - very much looking forward to it.

    Blue Ginger is much better than the main review suggests. It is a cut above your “usual” Indian, doing everythign pretty well, and is the best I have found in the area. Good food, reasonable rpices, very good service and very friendly staff. At least 7 or 8 out of 10 from me.

    I regularly get takeaways, the people there are cheerful and helpful, their dishes are as described and consistently cooked to a high standard. I would rate this place a minimun 7 out of 10.

    Been going there for the last 5 years and it never lets me down. Service is attentive without intruding and the food is tasty and visually appealing.

    Hopefully I will be visiting Blue Ginger for many years to come.
