The Park Pub

A really weird local pub with an old school late 90s juke box. We enter with a few glances from the locals, the vampire eyebrows on the stipey barlady raise as we request drinks. We sit at the rounded bar on stools and i make note of the many taps and rather impressive selection of drinks from twisty shots to alcopops and ales. Large england flags fill the wooden room, perhaps the management are eager to compete with the wetherspoons down the road. On the walls are one or two tvs with music videos on them. We are served our drinks and feel the enclosure of the place, as a local its pretty dodgy there are two examples of weird couples where the man doesn’t want the woman but she’s all over him and elsewhere the place is pretty much empty. What can be said is that with amenities like the pool table and darts board, it’s comfortable and the staff are friendly.

Overall i try to summarise the bar as two ants crawl around my pint and i spot funny wooden spoons, bank notes and hats over the bar, obscure for sure but at least it is clean and tries to provide a comfortable experience - 5/10
