Bar [Me]

With 200 people in Portsmouth on a most wanted database it is clear to see why entrance queues are so long and why ever punter gets asked for id but then it does baffle me how 3 twelve year old’s in front of me manage to get into what seems like an adult nightclub. Bar me as it happens carries some interesting services which it would be nice to see in other bars but the initial smell of fresh bleach makes me gurn. Making our way inside the darkened venue the dj booth reveals itself on the edge of a dancefloor.with almost no seating in eye-shot we head to the bar where very cheap drinks are served with what can only be described as a dire selection of student approved plastic bottles and red bull with vodka for 3quid.frankly it is the cheapest bar i had yet come across in Portsmouth and they even offered me cash-back on my card. The music was old school rnb. And this gave us no lies as to what it was, a grotty but student  friendly disco equipped with poles for lap-dancing on.

Overall a good bar for the lads to watch girls in almost no clothes make idiots of themselves in a darkened room with all the cheap booze they can knock back. So in that sense perfect for the full population of the guildhall strip - 7/10
