Restaurante de la Perfumes

Well buried in the heart of Marbella Old Town this unique little bar with its red washed walls and grated windows turned out to be a real charmer. The whole venue is filled with delicate smells of plants and flowers and as the name suggests is themed on perfume. Even the less than quality toilets smell like aftershave. The venue is divided into two halves, bar and restaurant. The bar offers good cocktails, bottled beers and one tap of lager. Throughout, soft reggae music fills the air as the bar woman (a very friendly but strict landlady) treats her guests with more respect that I have ever seen been shown in any other bar in England. The food is supposed to be amazing, and the sweet smells pull in middle aged clientel for late drinks in a bar riddled with  antiques and pictures of buddha.

Overall the Restaurante de la Perfumes is seductive, alluring and charming in almost every-way and even has the largest garden in the old town - the venue being over 150 years old without changing theme nor recipe and it continues to be a fantastic spice in the ingredients of Old Marbella - 9/10
