Menfis Club

With a party going on every night of the week, Menfis Club is one of the more popular in town promising nights for foam parties, girl’s nights and other such themes by advertising to potential customers on the beach and on the roads surrounding Calella throughout the season. Although it doesn’t look much from the outside the club itself is average sized and for ten euro in after midnight, it had better be. The club, situated underground has a small dance-floor and DJ booth, a 360 bar, an area which somewhat resembles a youth club, with table football tables and some oddly designed drinking tables which appear to be made of tin which you perch at while friends look on with a raised eyebrow, and a cloakroom which doubles as a kind of gift shop, promising t-shirts if you drink the bar dry. The bar itself has quite a slow service but the selection of drinks is vast and impressive. Music which can be expected ranges from pumping dance music, garage through to cheese and fluffy stuff.

Overall the bar tries to deliver an Ibiza like experience in completely the wrong setting, the crowd is very young to start off with, the music is repetitive and old. The toilets, found by climbing some stairs at the back, are revolting and laden with puddles of vomit and the place feels somewhat of a ripoff, the decor in particular looks like the decorators got lazy halfway through making the place look amazing and felt that sticking well lit table footballs at the back of a dance club was a good idea - 4/10
