H-Top Hotel Amaika Bar

Getting in on the all-inclusive action on this hotel or in this hotel group on the Costa Brava means basically free drinks at the bar. Okay this does not account for all drinks but the majority of your basics (G&T, vodka, rum, schnapps, wine, whisky, beer) are all free with mixers. Unfortunately as would be expected the alcohol has been watered down and you can only collect two drinks at the bar at a time. Despite watering the drinks down it is still possible to consume a fair amount of alcohol if you reside in the main bar area for enough hours. The area is a lounge collection of armchair-like chairs and small round tables, an area to drink outside beside the pool, lit up at night and in and around the hotel reception. The bar staff are extremely moody, expect few smiles from them and they are very strict about what time they close the bar and what they can give away for free but by the look of the queue at the bar all day long you can see why.

Overall for what is essentially a free bar you do get a good deal and although much watering down occurs alongside a very stern and unwelcoming attitude, the decor is grand but tasteless and the layout of the bar seems rather messy but I am not here to turn down free alcohol - 6/10
