Club 35

Club 35 is probably one of the better clubs in Calella. Like most of the others in the surrounding area, it is an underground bar and disco, packing in young people by the truck load while keeping drink prices artificially high to milk the most out of the tourist’s wallet. It has to be said that the very friendly bar staff like no other, flirty, chirpy attractive bar persons always get a tick in my book but these are some of the nicest I have met. The entrance is manned by some rather inattentive looking bouncers who are manning a box of wristbands – somehow one ends up on my wrist and we are told that it gets us free drinks all night – to our dismay the rumour was a hoax and after ordering a shed-load of pricey drinks we look sheepish. The venue is made up of a large central bar with seating surrounding in a dark room and cheese playing loudly with room to dance in all corners. The far corner leads into a maze of more bar where the destination back room is trance and dance music, strobes and a world away from the cheese in the room before.

Overall this 3 bar venue is quite fun to go exploring inside, the prices are a little steep but the staff are friendly (on the whole) and it is one of the better club experiences you can have in Calella – 7/10
