The Garden Bar

From outside the Garden Bar looks like little more than a bar on this narrow street with a two storey aspect and a wide side entrance. Inside banging tunes throb inside a covered rooftop venue with disco balls, speakers and lights, the envy of  next door’s Marthas Pub. The roof terrace has a Green cover, leaving a hazy light on all the tables. The venue is popular but not crowded during the day and a relaxed atmosphere fills the venue along with the smoke (smoking allowed inside). From this elevated position there are nice views into the sunny street below.

Downstairs is a large brickwork garden, a dark internal bar with resident Serbs at the bar, toilets round to the left and a second open air garden out the back. Toilets are clean but the girls appeared to be overlooked by a cheeky window. Overall a larger venue than it looks from outside with a cool interior, cheap drinks and a good position - 8/10
