La Forza Restaurant and Bar

Outdoor dining and drinking presented in a culturally relevant square. The sun beating down on the concrete floor, a large fountain erupting in the middle with children and dogs splashing about. The surrounding buildings are covered in war-orientated messaging and postings of politics as graffiti. One of the buildings is empty – the windows blown out, wires dangling inside, we dare not ask what happened here. The scene is somewhat peaceful though, a butch waiter serves us quickly, drinks are very cheap and the food menu is unreadable for English speakers but we go by the pictures and order some of the largest pizzas in the city. The salads come in large glass breakfast bowls and all al-fresco dining is filled.
Overall an interesting setting for a bar café combo but you get pleasant views of this rustic urban European square, survivor of war, promoter of an indulgent pallet – 5/10
