Bolgna Cafe Pizzeria Bar

Sitting and relaxing on the streets of Novi Sad is a popular past time. Iced Coffee’s, ice cream and full blown lasagne are all Serbian favourites I find, perched in wicker chairs under umbrellas, out of the baking sun in the middle of the busy season. We sit outside Bolgna Cafe Pizzeria, a bar and restaurant with a small, split level interior, with low lit tables inside, attentive bar staff and strange toilets that sit on steps behind sliding doors (making their use quite uncomfortable) The table service is not very quick if you sit outside however and the waiter comes over to us to demand payment for a few beers, claiming his shift is over and he needs payment up front. We then watch as a raggedy tramp of a man pulls up a chair next to unwitting English tourists, with a giant slice of pizza in a plastic bag, demanding money from them after a strange five minute conversation into their appreciation of the area.
Overall not the nicest of venues itself but with good outdoor seating, eating and drinking it is hard to shave too many points off - 4/10
