Upstairs at Dachkammer Bar

Climbing the narrow wooden stairs up to the top floor of this bar, voices and music get louder. At the top of the stairs is a hippy themed bar with red lighting, draped fabrics and an assortment of antiquities, behind which lay a small bar serving up bottles of beer and cocktails. Bar service was rather slow as the bar man looking a little out of his tree. The rest of the venue was a dedication to a smart but darkened 1960s semi detached house. Every furnishing remained untouched from paintings to cupboards, books, sofas, coffee tables and low glow table lamps. What looks like a huge mirror in one wall turns out to simply be a hole into another room, also full of young people drinking and socializing. The venue was nothing short of incredible and drinking our bottles of beer we look round in awe as the German tongued drinkers around us charge the atmosphere of the place.
In true barblog error I left the bar after about an hour and scowered the streets for something better, I found nothing came close. Overall a thoroughly unique and fantastic (if a little expensive) place to drink, a fully deserved 8/10
