Wetherspoons Terminal 4

There’s nothing quite like going miles and miles out of your way for a pint in the name of the blog. Okay so I happened to be dwelling in a certain arrivals lounge when i spotted the all too familiar glow of the Wetherspoons logo and looking at the watch popped up to the firest floor at this terminal at Heathrow airport for a cheeky half. Theres a small arrivals screen above the bar so you can’t get caught pint in hand unless you get carried away and accross the carpetted floor are a few games machines. I found this place to be a particularly popular place for that cheap all day breakfast and although the service is slow and the slection behind the bar is dreadful it does have a spice of convieniance about it. This was until I realised the place was nothing more that a room full of samey tables and low chairs, travelling families and large cases between the seats. The prices have been jacked up in here as well so expect to pay around £3 a pint.

Overall I was disappointed to see that the airport had influenced the relatively stable price of the wetherspoons pint (and dispite being so close to the arrivals gate),  even the tacky table clothes and sweaty socks of long-haul travellers couldn’t put a smile on my face - 3/10.
