The Rockwell Bar

The Rockwell bar at the Trafalgar hotel is a spacious and a beautiful welcome to the guests. Entering literally from the corner of the Trafalgar square until Nelson’s watchful gaze and steps and a heavy modern style set of doors. Inside the polished floors bounce the light around inside the hall-like bar which casually offers plush sofas and chairs, tables and an array of lighting’s to get comfortable around. The place is busy but there is still plenty of places to get comfortable. The bar itself is very long with a marvelous array of bottles along the back wall. The service is fast and ordering cocktails results in a discreet show of flashy bar antics from spinning bottles to throwing them the full length of the bar. The resulting drinks are works of art. I order a passion fruit based cocktail and receive what looks like a plush desert island in a sea of broken icebergs in a glass. Truly one of the most modest and beautiful venues in central London yet it doesn’t need to sell itself, perhaps the expensive drinks drive away some clientele but I believe it is just so cleverly positioned that few know it exists.

Overall one of the best bars I have been to this year, all the right elements of a fantastic place to spend a great deal of a night out - 9/10
