Duke of York

The duke of york is a large pub opposite Victoria station packed with businessmen and women and although it is such a large place it becomes too crowded to even stand in very early on in the evening. Unfortunately being so close to the station the place becomes full with backpackers and travellers of all kinds very quickly but I cant understand why- the beer is £3 a pint and the staff are unfriendly- don’t expect to get served either as waiting times are up to twenty minutes just to quench your thirst.

Overall a dry-mouthed 3/10, perhaps it would be better during the day, it seems such a nice venue its just a shame its too crowded.

Absolutely terrible. The bar staff seemed more interested in talking to each other and throwing ice around than serving beer. Stood at the bar for 20 minutes and still hadn’t been served. Left in order to find a drink elsewhere.

This is the worst pub/restaurant I have been to in London so far. The staff are unhelpful and lazy. Waited 45 minutes for food (sandwiches) before asking for my money back. Would not reccommend at any cost…

This is a good pub and the staff is very friendly and quick. The beer good and food is good enough.
The real problem of this pub is to find a place to sit!

A good pub! Very comfortable and warm: The staff is polite and friendly. The beer is good and food is good enough and rich. I will come back to this pub when I will be back in London!

This is the first and last pub I’ve ever been to in England. The best thing I like about it is its warm and cozy ambiance. I had the 8oz sirloin steak and it was every bit worth the £11. I went there with a friend last Dec 30, 2008 at 9pm and there were few people inside which was great!

would never go back to this pub, we had chicken it was very cold in the middle, never again it was crap
