The Tottenham Pub

The first thing to note about the tottenham is its location. Just outside tottenham court road station the place lives it life like a rock in a river, among the ebb and flow of theatre goers. Spending around 45minutes in here at a time this clientele brings about the pubs true character. Short stays by couples on a romantic weekend, tourists off to see the latest Ben Elton show or stage and screen fans, striking up bold and off the cuff conversation for the briefest of encounters. Set against a traditional, long thin backdrop the venue is almost like a train station itself. Busy outside as in with a stain glass roof dome at the back and portrait paintings on the walls. The downside is the cramped experience and less bar help than is needed with about half the ale pumps run dry.

Overall the tottenham is seen by many eyes but perceived by many to be too busy for a look in. Definitely worth the 45minute ale but beyond that is just another pub trying to get by - 5/10
