The Royal George Pub

Gazing down the odd streets off of Charing Cross Road one happens upon a dead-end cul de sac with fairy lights, busy after work drinkers filling the street and much mayhem. Here lives the Royal George, a rather old fashioned name for what is not a pub but a bar. The venue is set on two floors and filled with couches in which slouching is mandatory. The place is rather wooden and chaletlike, with arcade and lots of flashy lights with curiosity’s such as cages, yet not at all s&m like in nature. The staff run a rather strict shift and draw away from the relaxed mood of the place, which at quieter times, slips into the depressing.

Overall a place to visit for the weekend crowds and drinks in the road of a summer with not much to offer the winter wander than a deep couch - 6/10
