The Pillars of Hercules

A rather small pub nestling in the breast of Soho on Greek street are the pillars of Hercules. A traditional pub with a very well presented face but within, a building that feels like it is standing on one last leg. The 30 something crowd and the faces of a few cheerful immigrants appear to be proping up walls which have seen hundreds of coats of paint over the years. The bar serves up a good selection of ales with the odd local folk act as a side order of entertainment one day a week. “DJ Wheelie bag” is supposedly coming up this week (not sure I want to be here to see that one). The toilets are a grim affair in the basement but a friendly atmosphere is about all that can be concluded.
Overall nothing special, just another place to stand and have a pint in an effort to keep this old run down building heated in the cold British winter - 3/10
