The Electric Birdcage Night Club

It took me a good year or so to realise that this establishment was tucked away and yet so close to all the action in the West-end, near Tiger Tiger, Haymarket and Leicester Square but I spotted it one valentines day on the way to another restaurant with a parade of under-dressed but rather stunning women outside and big bouncers guarding the entrance as if it was an exclusive bank of sorts. Electric Birdcage is a very well oiled machine of a club. It is made up of a few different rooms, each decorated in a very unique and animated style to give the place heaps of character and attracting some of the most upmarket folk in London. In fact some nights you can’t get in at all owing to private parties. Anyway my experience of this place was not to the max of a weekender but rather a quiet weekday evening sitting down to very tasty and well priced dimsum and some exotic cocktails. The service was courteous, the atmosphere feeling almost intimate despite the size and the impression - stunning. Finding the toilets was something of a chore with very elaborate luxurious mysterious decor about the place, truely something that belongs in the realms of LA than perhaps London. none-the-less we are glad to have it here.

Overall a very sparkly and show-off venue to bring clients, dates, groups of people with plenty to spend and an LSD trip to be had by all inside with beautiful detail throughout, good service, drinks and space to dance - 8/10
