The Dog and Duck Pub
soho has been sprinkled on by the hand of god who has laid tiny pubs in all the crevaces of this weird and wonderful square mile. The dog and duck is accessible from two entrances and sits on two floors with bars on both.the ground floor bar is continually busy. I wouldn’t say it was packed but those standing by the bar know to move out the way and back timidly into a corner wen they have been served. The pub has quite a community feel-there are smiles all round and politeness in the old world decor of the place as it tries to unhold that traditional pub image. The downside is that the pub is tiny and it is clear why drinkers line the streets outside this bar in the middle of the night and this in turn leads to slow bar service and the loss of the pub atmosphere as a whole when you are standing outside with pint in hand almost a road away from the venue of origin.
Overall a charming if very compact community venue to visit during the day and somewhat inconveniant at night but for a flavour of the true english bar head in for that lunchtime ale - 5/10

Used to be a regular at this pub in the 70’s so long ago, yet I see from far far away, the place has not (thankfully) changed. Bravo.
