The Bear and Staff Pub

This pub, sitting just off of the side of Leicester square, somehow thrives as if it was sitting a hundred miles away in a small village. It is continually filled with locals drinking in a community spirit. Cheerful and well priced (or at least average prices for the area) this small pub has very friendly staff who greet punters with not only a smile but a warm conversation. The door man in particular discussed with me how the best pubs stand the test of time, and with its old school brewing barrels are tables, he’s not far wrong. Bear and staff must have seen many millions of tourists pass by its doors over the years but it continues to be a thoroughly traditional addition to this this growing nightlife scene.
Overall some very nice experiences to be had within, relaxing but like most things round here - too small to bring in more than a party of two and crowding around outside a pub really takes away from its magesty, regardless of how old or young it is - 7/10
