Las Iguanas Bar

The chain of portuguese bar and restaurants does seem likely to have a branch in Soho but sure enough there is one in dean street. The place is pretty busy I notice as I wander in on my Friday night but not overcrowded and seating soon becomes available. We order cocktails from a fairly good menu and find that our selection means we are eligible for happy hour prices. Five til nine on a Friday night, two for one makes it one of the best in London for drinks deals. The staff courtesy come to our table at nine to tell us the happy hour is ending and take a final order from us with a smile. We also partake of some nibbles and find them to be tastes and reasonably well priced.

The venue really is a little bright to be just a bar which is good news for diners but the aisles quickly get cluttered with big drinkers because the layout is a little clumsy with bar featured centrally rather than down one end. However I found las iguanas to be very inviting and at such good value it was difficult not to be somewhat impressed, overall 7/10
