Carlisle Arms Pub

Quite cheeky I’ll start off by saying, simply because the valour and warmth of a comforting pub is disguised in the shell of a far more traditional establishment. Entering the bar with friends I am not surprised to find the pub quite small with a bar manned by three bar persons.it still seems like any other bar and then I notice coat hooks by bar and appreciate the convenience. Despite have to wait a moment or two to be Served, I find the service to be fast and the bar havimg average prices begins to get a glowing report from our group of lads. Despite the size there is Plenty of seating although all seat seem occupied. The pub is and fresh and breezy with staff leaving the door open to cool the place down. The pub remains traditional inside with shelving over the serving part of the bar over the bar. I also spot a Jäger machine and smile at the Old clock on the wall, the aging light fixtures and carpets. I spot a big group to my
left of giggling twenty somethings passing a straw hat round
Overall I found the Carlisle to be a very inviting traditional pub that seems to appeal to a younger crowd with its Ska punk tunes. And as Sublime trumpets out of hidden speakers I offer a content - 7/10
