Bar Red

Bar Red demands a few things from its punters, these include fine attire, guest-list inclusion, wealth and smiles. The prize for approaching the bar with these attributes is two floors of chairs with red leather furnishings, entrances front and back for use by smokers and much of an after-work suited crowd. The plight and highlight of the experience in this rather small bar is the quality of the cocktails. Expensive it most certainly is but the cocktails churn out hard and fast and taste amazing. Few bars in London can promise the delicacy of a finely made drink which such speed. For this reason we remain drinking in here for a good couple of hours and let the bar begin to crowd and each into our savings but for waves of flavour it was most certainly worth it.
Overall pretentious meets some cool quality, coming here for anything other than a fine cocktail would be a mistake as this surely is one of the last remaining true cocktail bars in the west-end, an applause for the drinks, a frown for the image they are trying to pull with such a crowd - 7/10
