Bar and Club 101

For a bar and club so close to the west-end it seems strange that one should only spot the entrance when walking past and there not be neon signs or more blatant marketing to pull in the drinkers and dancers but then this place has a reputation of its very own. Bar 101 is a popular pulling bar- central and sleazy back in the day but now its the seat of old school class. The crowd and dj alike insist on cheese to be entertained by in the music department and attractive bar women remind you that this place did once have a heyday enough to still bring in big tippers. The bar has a very good selection including absinthe and well lit up in a disco-fashion. The mirror ceiling over bar provides some distraction as i randomly pick at cheap jugs of alcohol which are plenty  strong but with obscure ingredients. Who uses sambuca as a mixer?

Overall bar 101 is smaller inside than it looks from out, for years i had heard it was a super club and the best place to pull in town and now that the meat market has moved on-somehow it brings a level of comfort in old school garage tunes and dolly parton - 7/10
