All Bar One

This particular venue of the popular chain opens into rather a Thai-like fashion with long tables and flat lighting. There is a huge selection of wines behind the bar which spans the length of the room but this pub seems to then divide at the back rather like a confused McDonald’s as it becomes a floor above and below the ground floor. A very nice place to bring as few friends but unfortunately it closes at eleven so is not the place for a late night and the prices like everywhere in Oxford street are a little more than dear. A shot of sambuca will set you back £2.50 and a pint is about £2.90. The lowest price you can expect to pay for a bottle of wine is £10.

Overall it seems to hit the right notes for a sophisticated evening at 6/10.
