The Red Lion Pub

Trudging through the back street of piccadilly is a peaceful mission in the dark but a difficult one if you have a destination in mind, as close to Piccadilly Station as the Red Lion is, it is quite difficult to find if you are at the tail end of the Monopoly pub Crawl. This particular venue has a vibrant and friendly atmosphere tucked in the contrastingly quiet shadows of the surrounding area. The bar staff are loud and eager to attend to punters, the venue lit up in an old style of upturned lanterns from the ceiling with a sort of red-glow about the place. The seating is a little cramped but comfortable and the general manner of the place is the sort of venue you could have imagined a lot of old men smoking pipes in before the smoking ban took hold in London.
Overall the red lion is an inviting place if you can find it, a very traditional pub set in the contrast of a wealthy and majestic area, unfortunately pub prices reflect such things but its as average as they come - 5/10
