Chinawhite’s

– the famous haunt of celebrities in the West End. I was there for the Channel 4 Shipwrecked party so the place was jammed with press with the odd star of the show in between. Having jumped the queue thanks to guest-list, it was soon clear that getting in free is a big advantage. Once at the bar, two bottles of Heineken will set you back £10! A better option perhaps is the £20 bottles of wine which when drunk quickly numb the pain in your wallet. The club itself is pretty swish – dark wood furniture with hundreds of cushions and candles all over the place. It’s hard not to be impressed by the quality, even the toilets had waterfalls in! One positive is that girls outnumber guys by at least 4 to 1 – all decked out in mini-skirts and stilettos hoping to pick up footballer or C-list celeb – meaning plenty of eye-candy for when your money runs out!

Overall 7/10. Despite the prices, the atmosphere – combined with some great dance and funky house music – makes it a cool place to blow your cash and pretend you’re famous.
