Omniture Bar Stand

Rumour of a free bar at a conventional stand had spread far and wide before this event, or so I had thought, so imagine my surprise to see so few people milling around in front of the Omniture stand at Adtech 2008 in London’s Olympia. The stand was fairly small, a standard size as one would expect but with friendly sales persons turned bar persons, offering a simple selection of vodka or gin served by powering through an ice sculpture into a glass below with tonic and lime. Quite a fresh and well presented experience, but then free alcohol always does go down well. Also the stand was not too salesy so standing around and asking a question or two didn’t feel too forced through sips of vodka tonic.

Overall it would be nice to see more bar stands at Olympia events in future, they are very versatile and as this one shows- have great pulling power, with the most minor of ingrediants - 7/10
