The Old Fountain

The old fountain is a charismatic place, it exits onto two different roads but it still rather well cloaked in the Old Street darkness. Its full of men who are either sitting grumpily in the corners complaining or lads out for a bit of a ruckus by the main bar. The old fountain is comprised of two bars with a wealth of drinks available including some Samuel Smiths favourites such as fruit beers. The service is pretty nifty and we take out drinks into the second hall-like room of the venue and sit beside the disused darts board. The place has a homely feel, yellowish lighting and worn carpets see to that and with good distance to the tube it does fill quite nicely on a Friday night.

Overall a bit of a pub to go too if you have had enough of the more popular venues around, does the job but it could be a bit more lively and make its presence known, a tune also wouldn’t go amiss - 5/10
