The Champion Pub

Towards queensway along the nothing hill high street sits the champion. The rather unusual pub pulls off the gastro imagine with style and ambiance which rival the most popular among pubs. The seating is arranged in differing table and exotic sofas sit in the centre of the low red light bulb lit venue. Towards the back the toilets and entrance to a secret garden: an outdoor tranquil setting that sits a storey below the rest of the pub. The bar staff are fast, the clientele range from young to old but always with trend, from sugar daddies cradling their mistresses to girls from fashion college the place begins to buzz mid evening even on a Monday night.

Overall the champion pulls out a fine variety of stops to make itself a real gastro, the food is hearty, the menus and blackboards spring to life with comical lines and evenings like wine club bring an essence of notting hill into one of its better establishments - 7/10
