The Mayfair Club

New club nights come and go in the venues of central London but a universal truth is that launch night of a new club is the true test of any venue. Mayfair club just opposite the Ritz by green park station is an expensive entry underground club. Ropes and bouncers stand outside alongside groups of girl eager for entry. We head in, led by a promoter down the dark and mysterious staircase into the club beyond.. That cloakroom is sharply to the left with a bar next to it. Opposite is a lowered dance area with reserved seating as armchairs and small tables around it. Upon the walls are lighting set out  as art pieces providing a mysterious and beautiful effect, the illusion is a low-lit, exclusive venue with plenty to offer the VIP. Even the casual dancer feels important with women outnumbering men at two to one.

Overall an up and coming club, very small as an offering for a serious clubber but suitable as a social pocket for those that can afford the frankly extortionate drink prices- 7/10
