The Kings Head Pub

During the week this classy back street pub in Mayfair is as empty as can be expected, yet after work and at the weekend it sees it’s fair share of traffic. It’s always good for an after work drink according to my friends who live and work just by the King’s Head. I discover for myself that the place is a well-to-do suited affair, a bar split into two, one on the left when entering is packed, the other slightly off to the right is smaller but with shorter queues. The serving staff are a little lame, always serving the same position at the bar, to the discontent of those around me. Heading back outside with my pint (its too busy to drink inside) and automated heaters are supplied to those forced to stand in single file by a white line drawn on the pavement in true Mayfair fashion. A bouncer from a far off land regiments the straying of drinkers over the line, just to denote from the appeal of the place.

Overall a nice after work pub for those who earn but want a traditional pub feel.overly busy at times and not the best army of staff in the world - 5/10
